The idea behind Essential First Aid Training was initially borne in a response to the lack of baby first aid training organisations in and around Lichfield for parents and parents to be.

Before, and after the birth of my eldest daughter, I looked everywhere for a course on basic baby and child first aid. I couldn't find anything locally or specific to my needs so I decided to set up my own company. I trained through Worksafe Training Systems to obtain my First Aid Instructor qualification and Paediatric qualifications and I am regularly quality assured by them (all certification is available on request). I have also gone on to obtain a Level 3 teaching qualification which is now required of all first aid instructors.

As my daughter got bigger and increasingly more mobile, I found that I didn't know where to start when it came to making the house safe for her. I decided to train through RoSPA in Child Safety in the Home in order to better understand how to prevent accidents from happening and I now include this information as part of my baby first aid courses.

I am also able to offer fully accredited Paediatric and Early Years (OFSTED recognised) qualifications, First Aid at Work and Emergency First Aid at Work qualifications though Worksafe Training Systems as well as many others. The latest addition to the services offered are fully certified fire marshal and fire warden courses. Both are accredited through Worksafe Training Systems and I offer the option of a practical fire extinguisher practice too.
